Pro-Tek’s inspectors are the discovery experts; all of our inspectors are ASHI certified and have met the most rigorous technical and experience requirements in effect today. ASHI certification is the most important credential for a home inspector to have. To become an ASHI Member, an inspector must pass two written technical exams, have performed a minimum of 250 professional fee-paid home inspections, and maintained his or her candidate status for no less than six months. ASHI Members are required to follow the Society’s Code of Ethics, and to obtain continuing education credits in order to keep current with the latest in building technology, materials, and professional skills.
Most single family houses are completed within three hours – anything less is not enough time to perform a thorough inspection. We take one hour lead time and ask the buyer to join us for the second and third hours. Buyer attendance at the home inspection is an integral part of the inspection and a valuable learning experience. Not only do we go over the home’s existing conditions, we cover updating, upgrading, and do-it-yourself information as well as home maintenance tips.
